Top 10 contesting entry

As part of TCDL, FibreMatters is one of the top 10 contestants that is trying to connect waste and application at the industrial level. FibreChips is one such concept where textile waste is used as a replacement to the substrate layer in electronic chip manufacturing.

FibreMatters looks at filling the gap between waste collection and industry application. It does this by having a waste material library and an innovation lab. The output from these are transformed into proposed industry applications that meet industry specifications.
